Jessamine Santory is a native Spanish speaker, originally from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. She moved to Texas from Chicago, Illinois in 2003.
Mrs. Santory completed her Ph.D. graduate coursework in Spanish Literature at the University of Illinois-Chicago where she also did a graduate summer abroad at the University of Complutense in Madrid, Spain. She has taught all levels of Spanish for the last 18 years, from pre-school to college. Mrs. Santory has been married for 26 years to her husband Iván and is the proud mother of two lovely daughters, Aryana and Roxana. Her eldest daughter is pursing a Ph.D. in Physiology and Pharmacology at UT Health San Antonio, and her youngest a bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering at St. Mary’s University. Mrs. Santory enjoys cooking, decorating, photography, watching sports and practicing yoga. She is very excited to be part of the Lutheran High School family and LHS students’ journey in learning a new language! I know the future is very bright, especially if we can “JUST IMAGINE”. |
