LHS Academic PhilosophyThe LHS curriculum is designed to present relevant content with rigor through a Christian worldview. We want to prepare students for the next level of life spiritually, academically, physically, and socially.
We are constantly revising the curriculum based on the requirements of a complex ever-changing society and student body, Texas Education Agency standards, professional organizations, and the omnipresent word of Christ. The LHS academic program exceeds TEA standards and a percent grading system is utilized. Our core and elective curriculum is extensive, and in most subjects students may participate in regular, honors, or Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Typically, most students will carry a full academic schedule during an eight period school day. Our small class sizes provide students access to the best teaching and learning environment. CurriculumLutheran High School continually strives to develop curriculum and deliver instruction to prepare students to be college ready. Students are encouraged to complete the TEA Distinguished Achievement High School Program to best prepare them for the rigor of top universities.
