Liesel Urban graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Art Education. She taught elementary art for 10 years in TX and CO, and currently teaches Art and Geography, and is the Yearbook sponsor.

Liesel grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She’s a graduate of Lutheran North High School (the rival of Mr. Sander’s alma mater – Lutheran South!). Having gone through the Lutheran school system growing up, Mrs. Urban feels truly blessed to be part of Lutheran High School San Antonio.The faculty and staff at Lutheran High School are the best she has worked with. The focus on Christ as our Savior is seen and experienced in everything that goes on at the school.

Her 3 children keep her busy- Alynne, who creates and sells her own jewelry and art, Mikki (LHS ’21), and Stevie (LHS '25).
