Lutheran High School of San Antonio Gala 2025
The Lutheran High School of San Antonio community came together for the biggest gala in the school’s history on Saturday, March 22nd. The event was a resounding success, filled with fellowship, celebration, and fundraising efforts to support the continued growth and mission of the school to nurture faith and pursue excellence with students so they can make an impact in their community to the Glory of Jesus Christ! The night honored 30 years of faith-based education, reflecting on the past, embracing the present, and looking forward to a bright future. It was wonderful to remember our school’s journey through its three campus locations. Lutheran High School has always found ways to "succeed within the box" to serve our students through resourcefulness and dedication and that has characterized Lutheran High School over the years. A central message of the evening was the importance of community—past, present, and future. Attendees represented a broad spectrum of supporters, including parents, alumni, church members, and educators, all united by the common goal of providing students with the best possible high school experience. As noted in the speech, Lutheran High School is about much more than academics; it is about nurturing faith, instilling character, and shaping students who will make a lasting impact in their communities. The night also celebrated the school's recent achievements, including its designation as an AP Platinum Level school for the second consecutive year. The emphasis, however, remained on the school's core mission: equipping students with faith that will guide them through life’s challenges and successes. Whether through mission trips, community service, or athletic perseverance, Lutheran High students continue to embody the values of endurance, character, and hope. As part of the 30th anniversary celebration, Lutheran High School recognized Pastor Mark Barz from Crown of Life and his wife, Connie, with the Servant Heart Award for their many years of dedicated service to LHS. Their unwavering commitment and contributions to the school community have left a lasting impact, and the award was a fitting tribute to their faith-driven leadership. A key focus of the gala was the ongoing fundraising efforts for the Community Impact Center, a much-anticipated addition to the campus. With $1.6 million already raised toward the $4 million goal, the new facility will serve as a hub for chapel services, performances, events, and additional classroom space, ensuring that Lutheran High School continues to meet the needs of a growing student body for generations to come. Thank you to all who attended and contributed so that the next 30 years at Lutheran High School will be even better than our first 30. Together, we are building a foundation for the future, ensuring that Lutheran High School remains a beacon of faith and learning for generations to come.
