Two Mustangs Headed for NASA: Cody U. and Kennedy V. Selected for Texas Aerospace Scholars9/19/2026 Congratulations to juniors Cody U. and Kennedy V., who have been accepted into the Texas High School Aerospace Scholars (TAS) program — an authentic STEM learning experience that connects Texas high schoolers directly with NASA's missions and the next generation of space exploration. TAS is a year-long journey. It begins this fall with Launch Pad, an online course where students work through four mission-inspired modules spanning Earth science, space exploration, and technology. From there, the program builds: the highest-achieving students earn an invitation to Moonshot, a five-day virtual summer experience mentored by real NASA scientists and engineers, where teams plan an Artemis-themed mission to the Moon and Mars. The very best teams go on to Base Camp, a residential experience at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston.
We're proud of Cody and Kennedy for pursuing this opportunity and excited to follow their progress through the program this year. Go Mustangs! Learn more about the Texas Aerospace Scholars program here.
