Matthew graduated from St. Mary's University in 1990 with a business degree in Accounting and he also earned a Masters in Accounting in 2000. He is a certified public accountant and certified internal auditor. Matthew spent 34 years in the corporate world working primarily for Grant Thornton, USAA Federal Savings Bank, and Broadway Bank. The 2025-2026 school year is his first year teaching at Lutheran High School where he teaches the Principles of Business, Marketing, and Finance business elective.
In addition to teaching, Matthew assists with the marketing and recruiting efforts at Lutheran High School. This work includes providing campus tours to prospective students, attending external events by representing our school, and participating in on-campus activities to promote increased enrollment. He also serves as the head softball coach for the Lady Mustangs team. Matthew has been married to his wife, Jana, since 1995 and they have three adult sons. In his spare time, he enjoys watching baseball, softball, and most other sports. He also enjoys traveling to see and spend time with his sons, family members, and friends. |
