LHS Musicians Hit High Notes at TAPPS Competition

The Lutheran High School choir, show choir, and band had great success at the TAPPS competitions held at Castle Hills School and Church on February 20-21.

On Thursday, both choir and show choir earned a one, qualifying them for the state competition with their songs: “Et in Terra Pax” in Latin, “The Green Grass Grew,” and¬†“Tambourica,” which is a Ukrainian dance piece.¬†Solos were performed by Andrew Entzenberger, Zach Watson, Anna Maria Scott, Cheyenne Liles, Abby Dickerson, and Abby Marin. Choir and show choir member Tori Pride said she enjoyed the experience and added, “Getting to see other schools perform is always neat.”

A big thanks to LHS NHS members who assisted at Thursday’s vocal competition as door monitors and greeters, etc.

On Friday the band also did very well, receiving a one, and saxophonists Andrew Entzenberger and Savannah Senger earned ones on their solos.

God’s blessings to the choir and band students as they continue to prepare for the state competition on March 28th, in Belton, Texas.
