Seastangs Finish Strong at State

The San Antonio Lutheran Seastangs finished their season with a strong showing at the TAPPS Division III State Swimming Championship held February 5th at the Walker Pool in San Antonio. The Seastang women’s team finished in 8th place in a field of 34 competitors. This was the highest finish for any San Antonio area women’s team. The men’s team used two strong relay performances to finish 17th overall, also in a field of 34 teams. Seniors Devin Treadway and Marlena Shadle, along with Sophomore Delaney Kowald, each delivered two impressive finishes in their individual events. Our Seastangs swam season best times in almost every race, often dropping their times by several seconds below their swims at Regionals just two weeks prior. With their season completed, the Seastangs will honor their three Seniors, Alex Easley, Marlena Shadle, and Devin Treadway at Winter Sports Senior Night during the Friday February 7th home basketball games.
