Sarah Poertner

I am enjoying my 12th year of teaching at LHS. After graduating from Concordia, River Forest (now Concordia, Chicago), I began my teaching career at St. Mark Lutheran School in Houston. While there, I received my Master of Education degree from the University of Houston.

I find great joy in teaching students in all levels of math from algebra 1 to calculus. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I am the registrar and sponsor Spiritual Life, students who lead our small-group Bible studies.

When I am not teaching, I love to work out, read, work on projects around the house and hang out with my dogs Pepper and Paprika. I am active in my church as a member of the praise team.
