Remkea Ockander

My name is Remkea Ockander and despite my unusual name I am in fact a U.S citizen.  Actually I was born and raised in Nebraska which I still call home and find that I still bleed Husker red. While in Nebraska I attended Concordia University Seward, NE with a B.S in Education in Biology, health, physical education and coaching. I also have a minor in athletic training.

I am currently in my 3rd year at Lutheran High school. Prior to that I have taught in the Lutheran school system in St. Louis, left teaching for two years to work full- time in a Lutheran camp in Oklahoma, went back to the Lutheran school in New Orleans, became a Katrina evacuee before landing in San Antonio. My duties here at Lutheran High include teaching health, biology, religion, coaching volleyball, track and softball, directing the school musical/ play, as well as coordinating chapel.

When I’m not at school I enjoy working around my house, traveling all over the world, writing, playing pretty much any sport, and visiting my family in Nebraska. Most especially my two wonderful nieces and two adorable nephews!
