Rebecca Bartelt

My name is Rebecca Bartelt. This is my sixth year of teaching at Lutheran High School. I have the privilege of teaching students German, Choir, Band and Jr./Sr. Religion. It is great to have the opportunity to share my passions with students. I also direct an auditioned ensemble called T.H.I.S. (Thanking Him in Song).

Before coming to San Antonio, I worked as a missionary and teacher in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Kodaikanal, India and Bremen, Germany. I have learned to be at home in many places and am grateful God has given me a school and church family in San Antonio.

I completed my Masters degree in Music Education with a choral focus at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota in December 2009.

In addition to my work at school, I am active in my church (Crown of Life Lutheran Church) where I direct the adult choir and a middle school vocal ensemble, organize a women’s book club and participate in a Bible study.
