Mustang Slugger Slams His Way to TAPPS Leaderboard

The 2020 baseball season was cut short due to Covid, but not before a dominant final game before spring break and a breakout season for sophomore slugger Alec Escamilla.

In their last game before the season was cancelled, senior David Wenthe struck out nine opposing batters in a row and Alec Escamilla recorded a triple to lead the Mustangs to an 11-1 defeat of Faith Academy. Diego York-Alanis worked behind the plate and called a combined no hitter as Wenthe and Escamilla mowed down opposing batters.

A special honor goes to Alec Escamilla as he finished with the second highest batting average in all of TAPPS, finishing at .583!
