Houston, TX-The Lutheran High School robotics team took its first trip to the First Tech Challenge (FTC) World Championships this Spring! After a competitive regular season, league championship, and regional qualifier, the team received a chance to participate in the FTC South World Championships held in Houston, Texas on April 21-24. Teams from all over the United States and countries across the world met in Houston to compete in the highest level of FTC robotics. In fact, members of the LHS team had the opportunity to partner with a team from China in one of their matches!

LHS students were ecstatic to have this opportunity and look forward to implementing what they learned in next year’s competition, “Relic Recovery”. The robotics team plans to field three FTC teams next year, including our veteran team 4549, an all girls team, and a team comprised of students from Shepherd of the Hills and Concordia who are ready to take the next step in robotics!
