Lutheran Robotics Reaching Out

The “no boys allowed” Mechanical Mustangs team has achieved much success since its inception three years ago. The team has made a trip to Athens, Georgia, for the South Super Regional, won the Connect Award several times, and teamed up with our boys’ robotics team and mission club to help start FLL (First Lego League) robotics teams in Guatemala.

On Monday, October 28th, this group of girls were recognized by David Norris of Fox 29 News. The short segment highlighted the achievements of the team and their mentor, Mr. Andrew Schuetze.

The work does not stop here for this group of girls. They also just received confirmation that current students and alumni of the team will be giving a panel talk at the University of Texas at Austin’s Women and Girls in STEM Summit. Alums Kylan and Gia will be joining current team members to lead a panel talk about their experience in FTC (First Tech Challenge) robotics.
