iPad Pilot

God is good and continues to bless Lutheran High School in a mighty way! Early July we sent out a note
asking you to consider making a gift to our iPad Pilot Project. The goal was to raise $18,000 to purchase
iPads for our senior class to use. I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of you for your prayers
and for your donations. With your generous hearts we were able to raise $18,250.
It is very exciting to partner with all of you in growing this ministry. LHS is always looking for ways to
increase our level of education and opportunities to better prepare our students for college and beyond.
It is a great blessing to have these iPads in our educational environment. The seniors are very excited
about this project and have been using them in many different ways.
Seniors are already using e-textbooks in Astronomy and English classes and using apps like iAnnotate and dropbox to complete and submit homework assignments electronically. The ability to tag books electronically and e-mail or print notes has been a wonderful addition to our learning environment. We look forward to continuing to find new ways to complete tasks, and to explore how to learn new things in new ways as the year progresses.
