ADMISSION POLICY
Students are admitted on the basis of student records,
pre-enrollment testing, and recommendations from teachers,
counselors, pastors, and principals. Available space, order of
registration and personal interviews all play a part in
admission. Transfer students should be in good standing from
the previous school and must have an updated transcript of
credit prior to acceptance.
While many students are Lutheran, any student desiring a
quality education in a Christ-centered school environment is
welcome to join the LHS "family." Lutheran High School of
San Antonio does not discriminate on the basis of race, color,
national or ethnic origin, or gender in the administration of
our educational policies, employment practices, admission
policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletic and other
school administered
programs.
If you are
interested in experiencing the Lutheran High School family
atmosphere first hand we encourage you to participate in our
student shadow program! This one day shadow will allow
prospective students to experience the everyday life of Lutheran
High School by allowing future Mustangs to follow a selected
student to each of his or her classes. Student shadows will have
the opportunity to meet teachers, coaches, and potential
classmates, all while seeing how the Gospel is a part of
Lutheran High School's daily activities. We're sure you will
love it!
Approximately 60%
of our seniors, who have taken the SAT, have scored above
the 2007 national average of 1511. In addition to scoring
above the national average, the average test score of our
students has increased by almost 100 points in the last two
years. |
