Students learn to incorporate their faith into every
facet of their academic, spiritual, and personal
development. Whether analyzing poetry in English class
or learning teamwork on the athletic field, students are
taught to apply the timeless truths of Christianity.
LHS Offers Proven Academic Achievement
Almost 60% of our seniors, who have taken the SAT, have
scored above the 2007 national average. In addition,
the average test score has increased by almost 100
points in the last two years. In recent years, LHS has
produced a National Merit Scholar, a National Hispanic
Scholar, and two National Commended Scholars.
LHS Offers a Full Range of Advanced Placement (AP) and
Honors Programs
For students ready for the challenge, AP and Honors
courses offer
additional academic opportunities. A wide variety of
fine arts courses and electives are also offered.

possess or are working on advanced degrees. A small

America. Our staff Career Guidance Counselor works with
each student to prepare for college entrance exams. She
will help your family navigate the complicated world of
college admissions and financial aid. In addition, LHS
students average more than $20,000 each in scholarship
awards.

members are trained in Christian ministry and are issued
formal “Ministry Calls” in addition to their
certifications in education. The teenage years are
